NEW HAMPSHIRE
IS A DESTINATION FOR BASEBALL FANS

Spring is the season for ballparks and pop-flies. Manchester is home to the defending Champions of the Eastern League and to the brand new state-of-the-art ballpark, the Fisher Cats Riverfront Stadium. The 6,500-seat stadium is part of a major US $100 million downtown development project that includes a hotel and luxury condominiums.

Spectators can enjoy a game for less than US $6 a ticket. On Saturday nights, kids and parents can play catch on the field after the game. Following the Sunday games, kids are allowed to run the bases. The season runs until mid-September.

Take the family to an Atlantic League game of the Nashua Pride, at Nashua's Holman Stadium, where the season opens May 2, 2005. Former Boston Red Sox star and manager, Butch Hobson, returns for this fourth season. Hobson led the Pride to the 2000 Atlantic League Championship, New Hampshire's first professional sports title in more than a half century.

From April 2 to September 3, the Millyard Museum, in Manchester, explores the city's love of the game with historic photographs, memorabilia and artefacts.
