The 2005 American Express Championships will take place October 4 to 9 at Harding Park Golf Course in San Francisco. Limited to the top 50 ranked golfers in the world, the American Express Championship is one of four World Golf Championships sanctioned and organized by the International Federation of PGA Tours.
Defending champion Ernie Els, along with three-time champion Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh and many others are expected to compete in one of the tournament's strongest fields to date.
More than 950 volunteers are on board. Tickets prices range from US $30 for practice rounds to US $175 for the week. There's a 10 per cent discount for American Express card purchases.
