The Capital Museum of Beijing collected more than 600 items of Olympics memorabilia from donors during its My Contribution to Olympic Wealth campaign. Among the most prized contributions are several official Olympic champion seals, awarded by the Chinese government to athletes who won medals in previous Olympic Games.

The National Convention Center is at the heart of the Beijing Olympic Green. The 2,906,540-square-foot arena hosts the fencing, air gun and pistol events. The International Broadcasting Center is here.

The fifth and sixth ring roads are open. Terminal 3 at Beijing Capital International Airport is the largest airport terminal in the world, larger than all five terminals combined at Heathrow Airport in London, England. Three new subway routes include an airport and an Olympic line.
