ARIZONA CHRISTMAS EVENTS

Until December 22, the Grand Canyon Railway will reenact The Polar Express, a popular book by Chris Van Allsburg. Riders will journey through the Grand Canyon, while enjoying a reading of the book, cocoa and cookies. At the "North Pole", Santa boards the train with treats for passengers.

In Clarkdale, the Verde Canyon Railroad Santa Claus Express runs every Saturday in December before Christmas. Passengers enjoy panoramic views, hot chocolate and cookies.

The World's Largest Gingerbread Village showcases more than 100 gingerbread structures until December 28, in Prescott, central Arizona.

Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix hosts a Holiday Teddy Bear Tea on December 10 and 11 for families. Children's entertainment and activities follow. Children receive a special bear and take-home goodie bag.

The Annual Christmas Boat Parade of Lights is held on the first weekend of December, in Lake Havasu City. Beautifully decorated boats light up the sky under the historical London Bridge and through the English Village. Spectators watch from the banks of the Bridgewater Channel.
