Until January 15, 2006, the Vancouver Art Gallery will present the largest number of Picasso paintings ever exhibited in Vancouver, British Columbia, in combination with Canada's most significant collection of the artist's work on paper.
"Protean Picasso: Drawings and Prints from the National Gallery of Canada" and "Selected Paintings from International Collections" will be a show of paintings and prints that span a 50-year period, from Picasso's Blue Period of the early 1900's, through his teens and the 1920's when he experimented with various aspects of Cubism and Classicism, to works from the 1930's.
