Only a couple hours from Venice, Cortina D'Ampezzo is easily accessible from the International Airport Marco Polo. During the winter season, an airport shuttle bus runs for hotel guests from Venice and Treviso airports to Cortina hotels.
With 6,000 inhabitants, Cortina has 55 hotels, 80 restaurants, 56 mountain huts or rifugi, high-class shops, selling Italian fashions and local crafts and apres-ski at wine bars and local pubs.
