The Best Western Chemainus Festival Inn, four golf courses in the Cowichan region, and the Chemainus Theatre Festival are offering golf and theatre packages.

Golfers can play at Duncan Meadows, Mount Brenton Golf Club, Cowichan Golf & Country Club or Arbutus Ridge Golf & Country Club during the day and, in the evening watch a play at the Chemainus Festival Theatre. Lost in Yonkers and A Christmas in Wales are two of the performances.

Crown Isle Resort & Golf Community, in the Comox Valley, has a Warm Up To Winter package available from October 15 through January 31. The 4 1/2-star resort offers views of the first fairway and the coastal mountain range. The manicured golf course offers wide, rolling fairways and undulating greens.

Golfers receive a $25 dining voucher for the Silverado Steakhouse, as part of the package. Crown Isle Resort also includes the Cigar & Cognac Room, a first-class spa and fitness room. Its Classic Car Museum features American nostalgia, such as the '57 T-Bird previously owned by Mary Hart of Entertainment Tonight, and a '57 Chevy once owned by Sylvester Stallone.

Morningstar Golf Academy, in Parksville, offers winter indoor golf lessons in their new heated facility. Five instructors teach CPGA-accredited courses at all skill levels.

Morningstar also offers Swing Classes, Junior Lesson Programs, Golf for Women Who Don't Golf and a new Stay in Shape for Golf series, in their indoor classroom and new all-weather covered practice range.

Created by master architect, Les Furber, who has designed courses around the world, Morningstar Championship Golf Course features forest and mountain views, with a challenging course that winds around creeks, lakes and stands of pine and cedar trees.
