The new Jurys Cork Hotel has reopened with 182 spacious bedrooms, dedicated meeting rooms, a business centre, a contemporary bar and restaurant and a health and fitness club. Bedrooms feature pillow-top beds and duck-down duvets, covered in crisp white linen. Bathrooms have underfloor heating, separate baths and power showers and fluffy white towels.

Jurys Cork Hotel boasts a dedicated executive floor and lounge with complimentary continental breakfasts and spectacular views of Cork. Leeside Bistro's terrace offers outdoor dining in a riverside setting.

Designed to four-star specifications, the hotel also features an 18-meter swimming pool, poolside sauna, steam and spa bath; gymnasium, two exercise studios and a spa with four treatment rooms, nail bar and relaxation room.

Seafield Golf and Country Club Hotel opened at Ballymoney, outside Gorey, Co Wexford, in December. Located by an existing 18-hole championship golf course, the resort has 102 bedrooms, three executive suites and 64 private hotel suites (two and three bedroom units).

Designed to four-star specifications, the hotel has two banquet suites, four conference rooms, restaurants and bars. Oceo Spa has 14 treatment rooms, which offer traditional and modern therapies.

Lynch Hotels opened the George Hotel, a new Limerick boutique hotel, in November. Located in the heart of Limerick's commercial district, The George has 128 bedrooms and suites and four state-of-the-art meeting suites.

Art decorates public spaces and guest rooms. Adjacent Howley's Quay offers leisure facilities. The new Cliffs of Moher Hotel opened in July in County Clare. It is the second hotel opened by the new Atlantis Holiday Group in 2006. The Clare-based holiday and accommodation company recently opened the Tír Gan Éan House Hotel and Holiday Complex in Doolin.

Cliffs of Moher Hotel is in the picturesque fishing village of Liscannor, in North Clare. The village is on the southern edge of the Burren and only a few miles from Ennistymon, Lahinch and Doolin. Liscannor is less than two miles from the Lahinch Golf Course of Doonkey links, designed by Greg Norman. The hotel is within a short driving distance from The Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre.

Designed to four-star specifications, Cliffs of Moher Hotel has 23 bedrooms, a public bar and a bronze sculpture (at the front of the hotel) commemorating a local submarine inventor, John Philip Holland. Liscannor is his birthplace. The hotel's public bar is themed on his life.

Fresh fish, caught from Liscannor Bay, is prepared and served daily in the hotel's 70-seat Puffin Restaurant.
