RODEOS, SPRING TRAINING, COUNTY FAIRS
AND FESTIVALS IN KISSIMMEE FLORIDA

The annual Silver Spurs Rodeo, the largest rodeo east of Mississippi, is held twice a year, in February and in October. The Silver Spurs Rodeo has showcased Florida Cracker Cowboy traditions for more than 50 years. Rodeo riders compete in events like bull riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding and barrel racing for more than $100,000 in prize money.

The Silver Spurs Quadrille teams perform challenging square dances on horseback. The Silver Spurs Rodeo is held at the 8,300-seat Silver Spurs Arena in Osceola Heritage Park, Kissimmee's 120-acre sports, entertainment and meetings complex. Osceola County Fair and Livestock Show

Kissimmee's Osceola County Fair and Livestock Show takes place in February at Osceola Heritage Park. The county fair features midway rides, carnival games food, and educational exhibits on agriculture, horticulture and livestock. Visitors can buy tickets at the fair's box office.

Houston Astros spring training games are held at Kissimmee's Osceola County Stadium in March. At 14 Astros home games against some of Major League Baseball's best teams, fans can watch team superstars compete for spots on one of baseball's most successful teams with some of their top prospects. Fans can get autographs from their favorite players in the 5,300-seat Osceola County Stadium's autograph alley.

Houston Astros spring training packages

Kissimmee festivals

Festival of Rhythm and Blues, one of the largest concerts in the Central Florida area, takes place in February at Kissimmee Lakefront Park. Admission is free. Festival of Rhythm and Blues features R&B, gospel, jazz, Caribbean and African music, storytellers, crafts, ethnic foods and black history displays by African-American artists.

Kissimmee Kiwanis Bluegrass Festival takes place in March. Hours are Friday and-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Osceola Heritage Park. Bluegrass performers at the 30th annual festival include the Lewis Family, James King, Foothill Bluegrass, the Gillis Brothers and the Isaacs Heroes.

Kowtown Festival takes place in March, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Toho Square, in Downtown Kissimmee. Admission is free. The family-friendly festival celebrates Kissimmee's birthday with live entertainment, food, games and lots of things to see and do.

Caribbean Fusion Concert takes place in March from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Kissimmee Lakefront Park. Admission is free. The special event features Latin and Caribbean food, music, culture, entertainment, arts and crafts.
