Travel time from Metz will be one hour and 25 minutes. Travel time from Nancy will decrease to 1.5 hours from three hours and travel time from Strasbourg will be only two hours and 20 minutes, reduced from four hours.
TGV service
The 52 railcars for the East European TGV have new interiors, designed with help from Christian Lacroix. Trains have individual electrical outlets in first class, lighting that varies in intensity by time of day, reading lights, larger reclining seats with headrests and footrests.
TGV lounges have a family section with play areas, a snack bar and a bar where passengers can eat and drink.
The Societe Nationale de Chemins de Fer spent more than one billion euros on the East European TGV high-speed train.
