The luxury mountain resort of Dunton Hot Springs offers several day and overnight packages for 2008. Located 48 kilometres (30 miles) southeast of Telluride, in the San Juan Mountain Range of the Colorado Rockies, Dunton Hot Springs is an authentic ghost town.
Guests stay in 11 restored 19th-century log cabins. A fully restored dance hall and saloon make Dunton Hot Springs ideal for corporate retreats, reunions and weddings. (Groups of up to 42 people can rent the entire town for exclusive use, including the hot springs, bar, banquet areas, library, screening room and West Fork gym.)

Besides several two and three-night packages, a five-night Ultimate Spa Break package features accommodations, three meals daily, unlimited soaking in the hot springs, yoga instruction, meditation, a full-day guided hike, a full-day horseback ride and a spa treatment each evening.
The five-night Romantic Getaway includes a beautifully furnished cabin, a welcome bottle of Sutcliffe Merlot, two full-day guided activities, three spa treatments for each person, a private dinner served in the couple's cabin on the last evening, three meals daily, use of hot springs, library and screening room and a Dunton robe to bring home.
Mountaineering Adventure is a five-night package with four days of aerobic activities in two national forests. Besides cabin accommodations, it includes one guided full-day hike, one guided full-day mountain bike trip, one full-day guided mountaineering adventure, one full day of climbing, three meals daily, a massage each day and use of the hot springs, library and saloon.
Seven-night Yoga Retreats include accommodations, a welcome package, three hours of yoga instruction daily, all nutritious meals and a daily massage.
Things to do at Dunton Hot Springs
Winter visitors enjoy heli-skiing and snowmobiling. Summer guests participate in horseback riding, fly-fishing, off-road 4X4 tours, mountain biking, hiking, camping, river rafting and kayaking.
Dunton Hot Springs guests can take guided tours of the Navajo parks, Monument Valley and Canyon de Chelly. Staff can arrange transportation to other attractions from local airports.
Rates begin at $300 per person per night. All packages include three meals daily, non-alcoholic beverages, unlimited use of the hot springs, screening room, library and high-speed WiFi.
Meals feature organic lamb, fruit and vegetables and wines from the resort's associated farm and vineyard.
