Asia's movie and entertainment activities unite under an umbrella event called Entertainment Expo Hong Kong. From mid-March to mid-April, the mega event brings together leading entertainment activities, including the prestigious International Film Festival.
Events include FILMART, the Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Excellence Awards, the Digital Entertainment Leadership Forum and the Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony, Top Sales Music Award and the Independent Short Films and Video Awards.
The Hong Kong International Film Festival is the highlight. Many internationally known celebrities such as Jackie Chan, Anthony Leung, Wong Kar Wai, Zhang Zi Yi and other nominees attend.
The annual Digital Visual Effects Summit is part of Entertainment Expo Hong Kong.
