LUXURY PRAGUE HOTELS

Prague, Czech Republic, has several new city center hotels. All of these luxury Prague hotels are four or five-star.

5 star Prague hotels

Located on Republic Square (Namesti Republiky), Kings Court is a five-star hotel in the Old Town of Prague. Charles Bridge, the Jewish Quarter, Powder Tower, Municipal House concert hall, Palladium shopping and Prikopy pedestrian zone are nearby.

The 135 rooms and suites in the Kings Court hotel have WiFi access and flat screen televisions. Two executive floors with 35 rooms have additional services.

A restaurant and a café with an outdoor terrace offer international dishes and a buffet breakfast, overlooking Republic Square. Taste!t restaurant serves Scandinavian food.

The Kings Court Zen Asian Wellness center features Thai and Balinese treatments, a pool, jacuzzi, sauna and fitness room. Guests can see the remains of a Roman house, which was unearthed when the neo-Renaissance building was renovated.

Old Town Prague hotels

Another luxury Prague hotel is located near the Old Town Square, in an historical building on Jakubska Street. The Buddha-Bar Hotel Prague combines modern Asian and French colonial design.

Buddha-Bar restaurant and Siddharta Café serve Asian and Pacific Rim cuisine. Guests in the 36 rooms and three suites have access to a fitness center with a hammam steam room. In-room spa treatments are also available.

Wenceslas Square hotel

The first Starwood Hotel in the Czech Republic is located between New Town and Old Town Prague, in four interconnected 19th century buildings. Situated near Charles Square and Wenceslas Square, the 5-star Sheraton Prague Hotel is 200 meters from the closest underground station and one kilometer from the central railway station.

All 198 rooms and suites have WiFi and high-speed Internet access. The Sheraton Prague High 8 Rooftop Terrace offers views of Prague Castle.

Brasserie Delice restaurant serves French cuisine. Two treatment rooms in the Sheraton Prague Hotel spa offer Swedish, Thai and herbal massages, as well as other therapies. A 24-hour fitness center has state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment.

Mala Strana hotel

The Augustine is a Rocco Forte Collection hotel in the Mala Strana (Lesser Town). Located 30 minutes from the Prague Ruzyne International Airport, the 5-star hotel is near Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, the Old Town and the Jewish Quarter. Wallenstein Garden, which has classical open-air concerts between April and October, is nearby.

Created from seven buildings, including the 13th-century Augustinian St Thomas's Monastery, The Augustine hotel offers views over the monastery church and courtyards, Prague Castle and the city. Practicing monks still live in a separate part of the monastery next to the hotel.

The Augustine has 101 rooms and 16 suites, including the Tower Suite, in the original monastery tower. Rooms feature restored vaulted ceilings and original doors. Each room is different.

Monastery Restaurant has a glass-covered courtyard, an outdoor cloister terrace and European Brasserie cuisine. Tom's Bar, in the barrel-vaulted double-height monastery refectory, has original baroque frescoes. Brewery Bar, in the cellar of the brewery building, features 17th-century stalactites and stalagmites.

Besides four treatment rooms, The Augustine Spa has a gym, hammam, sauna and steam room. Therapists offer holistic treatments with Anika Organic Luxury and Ila skin care products.

4 star Prague hotels

Designhotel Elephant Prague, located on Na Florenci Street, is near Namesti Republiky. The luxury Prague hotel is in a former Baroque aristocratic residence.

One hundred large rooms feature flat-screen televisions, free movies, WiFi access and marble bathrooms. Restaurants, bars, shops and a spa are located in a nearby urban passage.

Majestic Plaza

Another 4-star Prague hotel near Namesti Republiky (Republic Square) is the Grand Majestic Plaza. A member of Worldhotels, the Grand Majestic Plaza is located near the Municipal House, Gothic Powder Gate and Palladium shopping center.

The 196-room hotel also has six suites, with balconies. The lobby features a coloured fountain. Besides the Restaurant Atrium, lobby bar and summer garden terrace, the Grand Majestic Plaza has a wellness center with sauna, whirlpool, massage and cosmetic treatments.

Prague City Centre hotel

Located on Sokolovska Street, near Florenc Metro station, Jurys Inn Prague is close to Wenceslas Square, the Old Town and Charles Bridge.

The four-star Prague hotel has 214 large rooms, with flat-screen televisions and high-speed Internet. The Jurys Inn Prague restaurant serves Irish and Czech food.

Prague 2 hotel

Park Inn Prague is located in Prague 2, near Vysehrad Castle, Vltava River and the Prague Congress Centre. The Art Deco hotel is suitable for leisure and business travellers.

The 4-star Prague hotel has 210 rooms and suites, meeting rooms, conference facilities, a business center, indoor parking and a fitness center. RBG Restaurant serves grilled meats, international dishes and breakfast buffets.
