How do you get from Vnukovo Airport Terminal A to Kievsky Railway Station in central Moscow? Take the AeroExpress train. Travel time is 30 minutes.

Canada to Moscow flights

The Canadian airline, WestJet, connects Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, Montreal, Edmonton, Regina, Halifax and a dozen other Canadian cities to Transaero flights from Canada on Boeing 777 planes. Canadian Gateway offers exclusive special fares.

Russia river cruises

CG Journeys offers 12-day packages featuring six-night river cruises between Moscow and St. Petersburg on the Volga Dream. The trip includes two nights in a Moscow hotel and three nights in a St. Petersburg hotel.

Trans-Siberian Rail Tours

Passengers can take two private train journeys, beginning in Moscow. The Golden Eagle Trans-Siberian Express takes 12 days to travel to Vladivostok.

How long is this trip across Russia? The train travels 10,600 kilometers (6,600 miles) through eight time zones.

The Imperial Russia train ends its 10-night trip in Beijing after traveling through Mongolia. Highlights of both Russian train trips include Irkutsk and Lake Baikal, the world's deepest lake.

Moscow and St. Petersburg tours

In addition to private and group tours of Russia's two largest cities, the CG Journeys brochure describes tours that you can take from Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The three-day circular Golden Ring coach tour visits Vladimir Suzdal, Kostroma, Yaroslavl, Rostov, Pereslav Zalesky and Zagorsk before returning to Moscow. A trip to Kazan includes the Kremlin, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From St. Petersburg, the one-day train trip to Petrozavodsk continues to Kizhi Island by hydrofoil to visit the Kizhi Pogost UNESCO World Heritage Site. After viewing the Kivach Waterfall on the Karelia tour, participants travel by train from Petrozavodsk to St. Petersburg.

Tours to Armenia and Georgia
