The Montreal Museums Pass gives visitors free admission to 30 Montreal museums, major attractions and the public transit system for three consecutive days for $50, taxes included.
For $45, visitors who prefer to walk, cycle or drive between museums can buy a Montreal Museums Pass, without public transport on the Société de transport de Montréal (STM).
Participating Montreal museums
The 32 museums participating this year are: Montréal Biodôme, Environment Canada's Biosphere, Canadian Centre for Architecture, Centre d'histoire de Montreal, Montréal Science Centre, Cinémathèque québécoise, Écomusée du fier monde, Exhibition Centre La Prison-des-Patriotes, Grande Bibliothèque, Holocaust Memorial Centre Museum, Stewart Hall Gallery, Montréal Botanical Garden, Montréal Insectarium, Fur Trade at Lachine National Historic Site of Canada, Sir-George-Etienne-Cartier National Historic Site of Canada, Maison Saint-Gabriel, Musée d'art contemporain, Musée de Lachine, Montréal Museum of Fine Arts, Musée des Hospitalières de l'Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal, Musée des maîtres et artisans du Québec, Château Dufresne Museum, Château Ramezay Museum, Just for Laughs Museum, Marguerite-Bourgeoys Museum, McCord Museum of Canadien History, Redpath Museum, Stewart Museum, Montréal Planétarium, Pointe-à-Callière and Museums of Archeology and History.
In addition, eight museum gift shops and two museum restaurants give discounts during the three days that the pass is valid.
Where to buy Montreal Museums Passes
Visitors can buy the Montreal Museums Pass year-round at most participating museums, at the downtown and Old-Montreal tourist information centers and directly or as part of a package from many Montreal hotels and travel agents in Canada, the U.S.A and Europe.

Montreal Museums Day
On the last Sunday in May, visitors receive free museum admission and free shuttle bus service to 32 museums. Programs include guided tours, theatrical skits, children's workshops, exhibitions, and talks with artists and craftspeople. Participants can view historic buildings, natural sites, contemporary architectural monuments and art, crafts and films.
Statistics and history
The Montreal Museums Pass was launched in 1994, redesigned in 2004 and has been available every year since then.
More than 7,500 people bought a Montreal Museums Pass last year. On the 21annual Montreal Museums Day, in 2007, museums recorded 108,000 visits. According to Tourisme Montréal, visitors stay an average of 2.9 nights in greater Montreal.
